Senior Implementation Consultant

Axonom has an open position for a senior implementation consultant. This individual is responsible for the implementation of our award-winning Powertrak suite of CPQ solutions with an emphasis on our 2D and 3D visual CPQ products for web and mobile.

We're looking for high energy, talented individuals to join our professional services team. The ideal candidate is a strong developer in .NET, SQL, and JavaScript frameworks (mainly AngularJS/JSON), able to construct robust solutions with limited direction and provide mentorship to team members.

Our customers purchase Powertrak, an enterprise software, and expect it to closely align with their business processes. This often necessitates creating new web applications with a combination of ASP.NET, AngularJS/JSON, and SQL. In your role, you will take business/functional requirements and high-level technical design, and implement a full solution to meet the customer's needs.

Responsibilities

  • Configure Powertrak software suite including our visual drag-and-drop Product Configuration modules.
  • Extend the Powertrak solution via custom ASP.NET pages, .NET web services, AngularJS/JSON based web applications, and SQL sprocs/UDFs.
  • Design solutions from business/functional requirements and high-level technical design parameters compiled by our business analysts to work with the Powertrak framework and extension best practices.
  • Mentor junior implementation consultants to extend their skill sets and to work through roadblocks in their implementation efforts.
  • Contribute to our practice knowledge base of best practices and solutions as well as to provide the development team with solutions from the field that have the potential to be productized and extend the out of the box solution.

Skills

  • .NET - particularly ASP.NET and web service development. 5+ years
  • SQL - our solution is SQL Server based so T-SQL is our specific language but deep experience with any SQL variant is acceptable. The creation of Sprocs and UDFs is common. The ability to optimize via Profiler, DBTA, and analyzing query execution plans/results is highly desirable. 5+ years
  • Web Application Client-Side Technologies - AngularJS is our framework of choice, comfort with JSON service communication, HTML5, CSS, and proficiency in formal debugging and development tools is key (e.g. “I debug by the alert statement” isn’t sufficient). 5+ years of web application development, 2+ specifically with AngularJS.
  • Strong problem solving and debugging skills. Ability to understand the cause of a problem and provide a solution even if the root cause lies outside of the development effort (e.g. underlying system or network issues causing errors at the application level).
  • Some platform knowledge of IIS, ADFS, networking, and SQL Server config is a plus.
  • Knowledge of and customization experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM a plus. Microsoft Certifications in CRM a big plus.
  • SQL Server Reporting Services experience a plus.
  • Communication verbally and via email with team members and (less commonly) customers is important as is the ability to document your work for future services team members and our support team.
  • High energy and drive are important in this fast-paced consulting environment. We are a “work hard, play hard” group; we have fun together as a team but we expect a high level of productivity.
  • Determination and tenacity to overcome problems in a self-sufficient manner.
  • Leadership, patience, and enthusiasm for mentorship to coach junior team members and help grow their skills and abilities.

This is a full-time, salaried position with competitive compensation and benefits package. Senior implementation consultants report to the VP of Professional Services and work closely with Axonom's project managers on day-to-day tasks.

This opportunity is located at our corporate headquarters in Eden Prairie, MN. Local applicants are preferred however resources in other US locales are welcome to apply. Axonom offers arrangements to work from home after the new hire onboarding period.
