Economic Stimulus Act of 2008 - Section 179
Increased Expensing for Businesses
If you are in the market to purchase a CRM system or other software in 2008, here is important information you should know. With the recent deployment of the Stimulus Act of 2008, businesses are allowed up to a maximum of $250,000 in increased expensing for software and 50% first year bonus depreciation for 2008.
Example of the 50% Bonus Depreciation
Spend $300k on upgrading software
Software is treated under tax law as having a 3-year recovery period for depreciation purposes
Bonus depreciation on $300,000 at 50% is $150,000.00; an additional $50,000 is allowed representing 1/3 the remaining $150,000
Total tax depreciation for 2008 is $200,000!
2008 tax savings is $64,000.00 ($200,000 x 32%) assuming a 32% marginal Federal Income Tax rate
Without bonus depreciation: A business could only claim depreciation in the first year of $100,000 (1/3 of $300,000)
*This stimulus package incentive is only good through December 31, 2008. For more information, please advise your accounting department, a tax professional, or the IRS website.

Recap and Follow-up
I would like to thank all of you who attended the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 Launch Tour this Spring. Not only was Microsoft pleased with the turnout but so was Axonom.
We are extremely proud to have informed and drive over 110 people to register for this event across the United States. For those of you attending this event, thank you! This clearly shows we have a large group of
customers and hopefully soon-to-be customers having interest in Microsoft and Axonom's Powertrak software.
Of the 20 cities hosting the 4.0 Launch Tour, Axonom sponsored seven cities (Boston, Atlanta, Minneapolis, Kansas City, Dallas, Huntington Beach, and Millbrae).
In Dallas and Kansas City, Microsoft asked us to invite two customers with a successful CRM implementation and bring them on stage to tell their story. A huge
thanks goes to Access MediQuip and MSI Systems Integrators for your participation.

Joe started with the company in September of 2000 where he focused on managing the global relationship with Microsoft. Joe’s work was
instrumental to position Axonom to become a global managed ISV at Microsoft. His current role since 2003 as Director of Sales allows
Joe to develop relationships with customers and partners. He has 16 years in the technology industry and provides clients a broad range
of expertise to include CRM, Computer Telephony Solutions, Business Intelligence, Document Management, Security, and Infrastructure.
