Microsoft will cut by 40 percent the subscription licensing fees it charges channel partners that host its Dynamics CRM applications. The price cut, effective Jan. 1, 2008, will turn up the competitive heat against Salesforce.com and other suppliers of on-demand CRM apps.

Sandhills Publishing's Loseke said he most frequently runs into Sage Software's Act! and SalesLogix. Pricing for Salesforce.com's on-demand CRM apps starts at $10 per user per month for a group edition and at $65 per user per month for "full featured" CRM apps.
