The Nordfab Quick-Fit Visual® (QFV®) solution was named the winner of the 2021 AWFS Visionary Awards for Innovative Software by a panel of experts from the Association of Woodworking & Furnishings Suppliers.
Nordfab's Quick-Fit Visual®, powered by Axonom's 3D Product Configurator, enables facility owners to visualize Nordfab® dust collection duct systems as they would appear installed in their facility.
3D Ducting Configurations
The 3D Duct Design Tool helps Nordfab's Authorized Dealer network place orders for their customers within minutes of creating a QFV design.
"To provide a 3D drawing of duct installations to their customers, our dealers formerly needed to use expensive license-based software that generally required specialized training. Now our dealers can use this free, online tool," said Lynda Smith, global marketing communications manager at Nordfab.
Today, Nordfab dealers can create 3D designs and estimates for ductwork installations. The solution displays the intended duct path and then converts the path to a 3D image with automatic duct sizing and automatic static pressure loss calculations - features that are not traditionally available with other methods.
The solution greatly reduces the amount of time required to create installation drawings and eliminates having to purchase costly software licenses or time-intensive, specialized education to learn CAD or BIM applications. It provides an immediate quote, bill of materials, and installation plan. Users can export a CAD file which can be imported into more comprehensive facility drawings.
